The phone number is 0870 708 26 27 , then choose
option 2 then option 1.
The User IDs and PINs are set up as follows:
UserID 0001# , PIN 1111# or
UserID 0002# , PIN 2222# etc
It then prompts you for a site identification.
These have been set up as :
0001 (7 digit meter)
0002 (8 digit meter)
000001 (4 digit meter)
000002 (5 digit meter)
The system then prompts you to enter a variable length (depending
on the site ID you selected) meter read, which it then reads back
to you and asks for confirmation before storing the read in the
database. The demo system then offers you the choice of entering
another meter read or hanging up.
Things to note:
The software can be easily customized to prompt for different forms
of identification, and can collect and store additional information
such as dates, times and meter read type (Gas, Electricity, Water,
etc.).
It can optionally read back the site names using either a computer
synthesized voice (TTS - Text To Speech) or pre-recorded prompts.
The demonstration system performs limited validation,
only checking that you enter the required number of digits relevant
to the site's meter. Business logic to validate the input in other
ways can be included if required.
The demonstration system stores the number of
meter dials with each site and prompts the user accordingly. If
this information is not available, we can accept any length input.
You can choose whether to end each input with a hash key or not.
The hash key is useful, but not required, to terminate data input
that could be of variable length.
The meter read / data collector is available
as a complete outsourced solution. IVR Solutions are able to provide
a system hosted on our own dedicated hardware for you, where your
only involvement would be to receive a daily/weekly email with your
data in an agreed format, and sending to us any static data that
is required by your application.
A rented solution removes the need for you to supply a PC, Dialogic
voice processing card, telephone lines, IVR software licence and
software customisation. The data that we can supply could include
the date & time of each call, the user submitting the data,
the site ID, meter read type (Gas, Electricity), the meter read
and anything else that you wish us to collect.
The voice prompts that you hear were recorded by a colleague and
are in no way 'professional', but are adequate for demonstration
purposes.
